At least 18 citizens, including one unidentified individual, were killed, and dozens were injured in clashes between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces in the South Khartoum area. Bashayer Hospital witnessed a tragic situation due to the increasing number of casualties, according to a statement from the Resistance Committees in the Janoub Al-Hezam region on Wednesday.

The committees, whose members work as volunteers to rescue the wounded, issued an appeal to medical and paramedical personnel in the vicinity of the area and its surroundings to head to the hospital to address the shortage of staff caused by the growing number of injured.

The Janoub Al-Hezam Resistance Committees in Khartoum clarified in their statement that the number of casualties is the highest in the region since the outbreak of the fighting, while the number of injuries reached 106 cases, requiring 17 surgical operations. They mentioned that these figures pertain to Bashayer Hospital alone.

The clashes shells struck various neighborhoods in the area, especially the old Sita Market, Andalus Harats (8, 9, 12), Al-Tawwaziat, and Al-Amal. Additionally, some shells fell in different areas of the Azhari Squares (5, 14).
