Dangers Facing Sudanese Refugees in Chad

Moatinoon
Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) has stated that thousands of Sudanese refugees gathered on the eastern border of Chad are at risk of losing access to vital humanitarian and medical assistance as the rainy season approaches.

The organization has warned of severe humanitarian consequences for the refugees and host communities in the border region of Sila due to anticipated rains and floods, which will hinder access to the area and deprive it of essential services and aid.

Van der Shoot, the head of the organizations mission in Chad, stated that many refugees wish to move away from the border area, but there is not enough space for them to relocate. She estimated that there are 100,000 refugees crossing the border from Sudan to Chad.
