Elobeid citizens suffer from power outages

Elobeid - moatinoon
Citizens of the city of El Obeid in the North Kordofan state complained of a power outage for almost two weeks.

The inhabitants of the city, which is located in the western central Sudan, revealed that they have been experiencing real suffering for 13 days because of the constant power outages that have left the people in the dark.

The citizen (Ismail Mirghani) said that the electricity outage over this period directly affected a number of electricity-related works and activities, and that the energy alternatives available could not fill the shortage and compensate for the outage that left the city in complete darkness.

Muhammad Ali, who works in the Abu Jahl market in downtown El Obeid, asserted that electricity lasted only three hours during the past two weeks, (we were not able to accomplish anything, nor did we know what the real reasons for the power outages for this period).

According to (moatinoon) sources, several Western States power towers collapsed resulting in power outages.

Al-Obeid saw several clashes between SAF and RSF, most recently at the end of August that killed 12 civilians and injured dozens.
