A voluntary group in the state of Kassala has released a short film showcasing the efforts of volunteers from the "Kassala Emergency Room" to assist displaced people arriving in Kassala. The film also highlights the conditions of the displaced individuals in the capital of the state.

The Kassala Emergency Room, in a statement, explained that the film "Kassala Youth Emergency Room," prepared by the "Active People Initiative," aims to showcase the efforts of young volunteers from Kassala, their daily tasks, and their assistance to the victims of the April 15th war. This assistance includes evacuation, welcoming, and housing in shelter centers, as well as providing material and psychological support, especially for children, over the past eight months.

The film "Kassala Emergency Room" is the first visual work documenting the efforts of a volunteer group serving displaced people. The resistance committees transformed into volunteer teams known as "Emergency Rooms" following the outbreak of the war in mid-April last year. These teams function as rapid response centers to help the displaced in various states across the country.

The statement by the Emergency Room mentioned that the film also aims to present the conditions of the displaced individuals. It emphasized that the "Kassala Emergency Room" is working to assist more than 102,777 displaced individuals in the state of Kassala.

The statement mentioned that this number has increased significantly since the outbreak of the war in Wad Madani on December 18, making the state and locality of Kassala one of the main destinations in eastern Sudan for those escaping the war in Khartoum, Darfur, and the Gezira.
