10 killed by mutual bombardment between SAF and RSF

10 civilians died in Salma neighbourhood south of the capital Khartoum following an exchange of artillery shelling between the army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on Thursday.

An emergency room in the southern belt of the Mayo neighbourhood of Khartoum declared "ten civilians killed by artillery shelling and marching".

"An exchange of artillery shelling and marches (between the army and the RSF) is taking place in the middle of residential neighbourhoods and in a local market," the RRC said.

According to the South Belt Committees statement, the victims are:

The fighting has killed more than 12,190 people, since the outbreak of the war between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces on 15 April 2023, according to Aclid estimates.

It has also displaced more than 7 million people both inside and outside the country, according to the United Nations.
