El Ban Jadeed: Kidney Dialysis Center Operating at Full Capacity

Healthcare professionals at El Ban Jadeed Hospital in Al-Haj Sharq Al-Nile affirmed that the kidney dialysis center has been operating at its maximum capacity for over a month, despite shortages in medicines and medical supplies.

The kidney center at El Ban Jadeed Hospital receives between 30 to 40 dialysis cases daily. The number increased after the events witnessed in the Gezira state about a month ago, leading to the return of a significant number of patients to the East Nile region, east of the Sudanese capital, Khartoum.

Sources revealed that the operation of the center relies heavily on medicines and supplies from the share allocated to the suspended centers in the Khartoum state, following the discontinuation of support from the Doctors Without Borders organization.

El Ban Jadeed is one of the most active hospitals in the East Nile region, with five departments operating efficiently, including obstetrics, surgery and minor procedures, emergency, cold cases, and the kidney dialysis center.
