The Sudanese film "Heroic Bodies" directed by Sarah Suleiman will be shown at a new venue, the city of Vancouver in Canada, later this month as part of the Middle East Film Festival in Vancouver, which will run for 8 days from January 27th to February 1st.

The 95-minute documentary film explores the historical struggles of women through the female body, which has been suppressed by governments throughout history, from 1900 to the seventies of the last century.

The film, which has received widespread audience interest, depicts the various forms of the Sudanese womens struggle, their resistance to reclaim their bodies through physical politics in political resistance, and their ongoing quest for the right to education, leadership in public health, and breaking harmful traditions.
