Volunteers: 18 Killed in Soba Area

According to volunteer teams in the region, 18 citizens were killed, and 35 others were injured in the Soba area of the capital, Khartoum.

"Soba Station" emergency room, in a statement also published by the South Belt Emergency Room today, reported that aerial and artillery bombardment between January 9th and 12th resulted in the death of 18 citizens, including 5 women and 4 children. Additionally, 35 others were injured, and 15 houses were completely or partially destroyed.

The statement noted that on January 9th, the area was shelled by a mortar – the source of which was not specified. Shortly after, the Sudanese military aviation bombed the same area.

Providing details of the attacks, the statement clarified that on Tuesday, January 9th, at 9 AM, the "Soba Station" area was attacked with a mortar shell without specifying the party responsible. On the same day, the area was subjected to aerial bombardment at 4:30 PM. The statement added that the aerial bombardment occurred again on Friday, January 12th, at 9 AM, with a mortar shell.
