The NetBlocks observatory has confirmed the internet disruption in various regions of Sudan.

The international organization that monitors internet activity worldwide stated in a brief statement on its platform on Ex-Im that network data indicates a disruption in several internet service providers in Sudan, as communication levels have significantly diminished due to the ongoing conflict.

It pointed to a statement from the Sudanese MTN operator, which reported a service failure due to circumstances beyond its control. It added that it is working to restore the service as quickly as possible.

Several local news reports have also confirmed the cessation of communication and internet services in Sudan, including Port Sudan, which has become the administrative capital of the country after the April war.

NetBlocks is a non-governmental organization that monitors network security and internet activity worldwide, highlighting the potential economic consequences of internet service blocking in various regions globally.
