The Sudan Doctors Union Preparatory Committee said that at least 28 people were killed in an attack by the Rapid Support Forces on the village of Um Adham in Al-Jazira State, with more than 240 others injured to varying degrees.

The committee condemned the massacre committed in the village located in the Al-Hasahisa locality in the center of Al-Jazira State. In a statement yesterday, they stated that the Rapid Support Forces completely raided the village of Um Adham, engaging in looting, robbery, and kidnapping. They also assaulted the village of Al-Fuqara in the Al-Hasahisa locality on the same day.

Meanwhile, the Al-Hasahisa Resistance Committees stated that the Rapid Support Forces carried out their attack with an estimated 200 individuals riding 60 motorcycles and 4 armed military vehicles. A statement from the resistance committees added that despite the unequal balance of power and the abandonment by military leadership, the residents resisted them. They noted that the numbers of dead and injured are preliminary figures based on the difficulties and interruptions in communication.
