The General Coordination of Displacement and Refugee Camps in Darfur has reported an influx of displaced persons to the Tawila area from the city of El Fasher. This movement is in response to ongoing violence in El Fasher, where continuous clashes occur between the army and its allies, and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and their allies.

In a statement to "moatinoon," the official spokesperson of the coordination committee, Adam Rojal, said that the displaced persons are fleeing El Fasher to areas such as Tawila, Fanga, Sortoni Camp, Rokro, Deribat, Burgo, and others due to the escalating violence in the city.

He described the conditions of the displaced as "dire," noting that they have lost all basic necessities of life, including food, medicine, water, and shelter.

Accompanying the statement were photos showing dozens of women and children crowded among household items in transport vehicles, appearing to be preparing to leave, en route to, or arriving at displacement areas.

Rojal reiterated his appeal to the United Nations, relief organizations, their agencies, and regional and international humanitarian organizations and charities to provide emergency services as quickly as possible.

El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur, and its surroundings are experiencing continuous clashes between the army, its allied armed movements, and the RSF.

The RSF has imposed a siege on El Fasher in an attempt to take control after having secured four out of five cities in the Darfur region. This has prompted international and regional warnings about the potential overrun of the city, which is home to millions of displaced persons who have fled from other cities in the troubled region due to the conflict.
