The General Coordination of Displaced Persons and Refugees in Darfur reported that at least nine civilians were killed or injured in Abu Shouk camp due to artillery shelling by the Rapid Support Forces.

In a statement on Tuesday, Adam Rojal, the official spokesperson for the General Coordination of Displaced Persons and Refugees, explained that the shelling resulted in the deaths of four civilians, including three women, and injuries to four others, including two women.

Rojal indicated that the actual number of casualties might be higher, as the internet blackout and intense clashes have made it difficult to account for all victims.

Abu Shouk camp, located in El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State, has been a target for both warring parties due to its location within the military confrontation zone, leading to numerous deaths and injuries.

Additionally, Rojal announced the arrival of new displaced persons on Monday from El Fasher to the Tawila area, fleeing the fighting in the capital of North Darfur State. He noted that the displaced arrived "under harsh and exhausting humanitarian conditions, with a lack of basic necessities for life, such as food, medicine, water, and shelter materials."
