The Pre-Commission of the Sudanese Physicians Union expressed concern about the situation of franchisees who had not been registered and distributed to the examination centres.

The Preliminary Committee commended the efforts of the Sudanese Medical Council, in a statement yesterday, despite the Sudans circumstances as a result of the war and its consequences, but stated that 400 privileged doctors were unable to practise due to delayed examinations.

The Committee noted that the delay in the professional examination had significantly hampered the launching of doctors careers, as well as their enrolment in remote centres requiring considerable effort, high financial costs and security risks.

She appealed to the Sudanese Medical Council to ensure the redeployment of concession doctors to the centres closest to them and safest and to facilitate administrative procedures to expedite the registration and distribution process.

The Committee affirmed its full willingness to cooperate with the Medical Board and provide any possible impetus to resolve the problem. She asked the Council to deal with the issue with the attention it deserved to end the suffering of doctors and enable them to start their careers in the current situation, which she described as threatening the countrys health system.
