Sudan: Commander of RSF is inside the U.S. Treasury Sanctions Cage.

The Office of Foreign Assets Control of the Treasury today imposed sanctions on Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo Musa (Hemeti), Commander of the Sudanese Rapid Support Forces, under Executive Order No. 14098,

According to the United States resolution, Hamidis Rapid Support Forces (RSF), nearly two years ago, engaged in a brutal armed conflict with the Sudanese armed forces to control the Sudan, killing tens of thousands, displacing 12 million Sudanese and causing widespread famine.

The United States Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, held leadership responsible for the acts, which he described as hateful and illegal to his forces.

"The United States continues to call for an end to this conflict, which endangers the lives of innocent civilians," said Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Ademu. "The Treasury remains committed to using every available tool to hold accountable those responsible for violating the human rights of the Sudanese people."

Along with the Commander of the Rapid Support Forces, the United States Treasury imposed sanctions on seven companies and one individual associated with the Rapid Support Forces.

Capital Tap Holding, based in the United Arab Emirates, was the top company hit by U.S. sanctions for providing funds and weapons to the Rapid Support Forces.

The sanctions list included Creitiv Python Limited (Creitiv Python), a company based in the United Arab Emirates, owned and operated by Abu Thar, which was covered by the United States sanctions, and AZ Gold, a gold purchasing company based in the United Arab Emirates. ALGIL AL QAIL ADDEM (Next Generation) is a UAE-based company owned and operated by Abu Thar, Horizon Advance Solutions Ltd. M.L. M.L. - Individual ownership (Horizon Advance Solutions) is a UAE-based subsidiary of Capital Tap Holding.
