The Sudanese Teachers’ Committee yesterday mourned Nadia Bilal Mohamed Siddiq, a teacher from Al-Halfaya, who was assassinated by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). Meanwhile, Jebel Hilla in North Darfur State witnessed an attack that resulted in the death of 14 civilians, according to the Resistance Committees Coordination in El Fasher.
The Teachers’ Committee stated that Nadia was beaten and then hanged in her home in Al-Saqay village, north of Bahri City, after demanding the release of her son, who had been detained in RSF prisons in the area.
According to local Resistance Committees, Nadia was one of the pioneer educators in the region. The RSF accused her of collaborating with the Sudanese Armed Forces and executed her by hanging, despite her lack of any military affiliation.
In a related development, the Sudanese Doctors Union condemned the violations committed by the RSF in Al-Hasaheisa and its surrounding villages, including Arbaaji and Abu Ashar.
The union reported that the RSF occupied and looted Arbaaji Hospital, the only functioning hospital in the area, exacerbating the suffering of citizens and directly targeting the regions healthcare infrastructure.
The union also stated in its report yesterday that RSF attacks on areas in northern Al-Jazeera State resulted in the deaths of five civilians and injuries to 16 others. It highlighted that residents were subjected to looting of their private properties and were forcibly displaced from their homes under threat of armed violence.
The Resistance Committees in Al-Hasaheisa revealed that the village of “Abdulrahman” in rural Al-Muslimiya experienced deliberate destruction of its infrastructure. The RSF reportedly broke the village’s irrigation canals, causing the entire area to flood.
Several posts on the Resistance Committees’ official Facebook page indicated that the villagers were forcibly displaced, and the RSF subsequently occupied the village, turning it into a camp for its troops.
Meanwhile, the Sudanese Doctors’ Network reported the killing of two individuals and the injury of 11 others due to a missile attack by the RSF on residential neighborhoods in Karari locality, Omdurman, on Saturday evening.
The network condemned the deliberate shelling of civilian neighborhoods and gathering places, which resulted in casualties, including women and children.
