100% deficit in funding Khartoum local emergency rooms
Moatinoon
Khartoum local emergency rooms appealed to international, regional and national organizations to provide urgent support to continue humanitarian services. They called on the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces to open safe routes to deliver food and medical aid, and to protect volunteers to ensure the continuation of their humanitarian work.
The media committee of the chambers revealed the increasing challenges facing basic services for citizens in the locality in light of the ongoing repercussions of the war.
It said in a report that the locality is currently suffering from a critical humanitarian situation after many services provided by emergency rooms in various regions were suspended.
The committee attributed the deterioration in the humanitarian situation to the looting of markets, the destruction of food supplies, the sharp rise in food prices, and the increase in security risks. The continued restrictions on the movement of volunteers and repeated attacks also affected the performance of the rooms.
On the other hand, the media committee of the Khartoum Emergency Graph revealed the expiration of medicines available within the locality and the shortage of life-saving medicines, in addition to the scarcity of funding and weak community support compared to the increasing need for goods and medicines.
It warned of the seriousness of the situation after the deficit in the support provided to the chambers reached 100%, which led to a complete or partial halt in services in the areas of nutrition, health and education and to the deterioration of the environmental situation.
