The Sudan Doctors Network announced on Sunday that four people—including a woman and two children—were killed and others injured after the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and their ally, the SPLM-North, targeted a market in the city of Dilling, South Kordofan State, southern Sudan.
The network stressed that “targeting markets and civilian areas constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and reflects a disregard for civilian lives.”
Sudan Doctors expressed “deep concern over the repeated targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure,” particularly amid deteriorating health conditions and a shortage of medical resources needed to respond to emergencies.
The network also called on “the international community and humanitarian organizations to take urgent action to pressure the leadership of the RSF and the SPLM to halt these violations, ensure the protection of civilians, and facilitate the delivery of medical and humanitarian aid to affected areas.”
On Friday, the Sudan Doctors Network had reported that two people were killed and seven others injured following RSF artillery shelling on the city of Dilling.
This comes as the three Kordofan states—North, South, and West—have been witnessing clashes between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the RSF since October 25, 2025, resulting in the displacement of tens of thousands in recent weeks.
