Dead, Sudanese among them.. Armed attack on bus en route from Juba to Kampala

Several people were killed, including Sudanese, and others were wounded this morning in an attack on a passenger bus en route from Juba, the capital of South Sudan, to Ugandas capital, Kampala.

South Sudan army spokesman General Lol Roy confirmed that an investigation was under way to establish the circumstances of the incident.

The incident occurred when the bus came under armed attack from an undetermined side in the Lakarak area between Nyrigibe and Kobe, and several images showed the bus burning and burning.

The bus was travelling from Juba to Kampala, carrying 36 passengers. The authorities are still working to ascertain the exact number of people killed and wounded.
